What joining FMA has meant to them.
Coming into the business school, I was overwhelmed by all the different paths in finance. Joining FMA gave me a tight-knit community of driven, ambitious students who were always willing to help me prepare for interviews and figure out my career goals.
I came in knowing almost nothing about markets. Within a few weeks, I was following earnings reports and actually understanding what moved stock prices. FMA gave me a real edge heading into internship interviews.
Getting to hear directly from professionals at top firms during FMA guest speaker events was invaluable. It gave me a realistic look at what working in wealth management and corporate finance is actually like, and helped me build a network before I even graduated.
FMA is the reason I feel confident talking about sectors, valuations, and macro trends. The weekly presentations keep you sharp, and the community is full of people who genuinely want to learn and help each other grow.
I joined FMA as a freshman without knowing anything about finance. The executive board was incredibly welcoming, and the biweekly meetings broke down complex industry topics into things I could actually understand. It’s the best decision I’ve made in college.
The guest speakers are what set FMA apart. Hearing directly from professionals at firms like Stifel and OCCU made finance feel tangible instead of theoretical. I've built connections I never would have found in a classroom.
